ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Arrival in Prague
Arrival in Prague, where our team will be waiting for you at the Mosaic hotel to welcome you to the experience.
The afternoon will be free, followed by a traditional dinner at the famous brewery “U FLEKU,” established in 1499, where all participants will get to know each other while enjoying the renowned Czech beers.
Before dinner, we will hold a briefing at our meeting hotel.
Prague by Bike
Gather in the hotel lobby after breakfast to take the bikes, adjust them to the correct size, and explore Prague together by bike.
We will cross the Charles Bridge and head up to the castle, where we will visit the cathedral. After returning to the lower part of the city, we will admire the famous mechanical astronomical clock, which is over 600 years old.
It will be a relaxing day to enjoy the capital of Bohemia at a leisurely pace with this leisurely ride to sightsee and enjoy.
The afternoon is free for strolling or shopping.
Tull An der donau - Vienna
Early in the morning, after enjoying the buffet breakfast, we will travel on our private bus to Austria, where we will arrive after a three-hour journey.
In Tull an der Donau, by the banks of the Danube River, we will take our bikes and head toward Vienna. We will cover 40 flat and easy kilometers until we reach the heart of the Austrian capital; this will be our first encounter with the Danube River.
We will ride through the streets of Vienna until we reach our hotel located in the city center.
Vienna By Bike
Today we will explore by bike the city that gave rise to great composers like Strauss, Beethoven, and Mozart, and is home to the renowned opera.
Vienna is a hub of culture, boasting over 100 museums, and it has a special charm that will serve as the backdrop for many unforgettable memories.
During your trip, you can enjoy a stroll through the old town under the watchful gaze of the cathedral, or savor a Viennese coffee accompanied by a slice of delicious Sacher cake.
Vienna - Bratislava
We will begin pedaling along the left bank of the Danube. Before we know it, we will find ourselves surrounded by the Auen National Park.
Gradually, we will enter Slovak territory, witnessing sights that will show us what was once the Iron Curtain of the former Soviet Union, arriving at the stunning city of Bratislava.
In the afternoon, we will explore the streets of the historic center, and after our walk, we will enjoy a traditional dinner with typical Slovak dishes at Slovak Pub, a brewery.
Bratislava - Gyor
After our buffet breakfast, we will take our bikes and head once again to the left bank of the Danube. It will be a peaceful ride alongside lush green forests on one side and the impressive river on the other, where we will see countless swans.
Tonight, we will stay in Hungarian territory, in Győr, the third-largest city in Hungary. We will enjoy its historic center, but most importantly, we will soak in its vibrant atmosphere and summer festival.
Gyor - Komárno
The day will start by the Danube, and after a few kilometers, we will enter the Cicovske Mrtve natural park. The route consists of both asphalt and dirt paths, located alongside the river, making it very comfortable and easy to navigate.
Midway through the journey, if the weather permits, we will take a dip in the waters of the Danube. By midday, we will arrive in Komárno, a famous city located in southern Slovakia that has half of its territory belonging to Hungary after World War I. Here, we will conclude our stage.
Komárno - Esztergom
Today will be a day for swimming in the Danube, in a calm water area. We will continue alongside the Danube until we reach Štúrovo, our last city in Slovakia. Here, we will cross its beautiful 19th-century metal bridge to arrive in Esztergom.
Esztergom is known as the capital of medieval Hungary, having served as the capital from the 10th to the 13th centuries before moving to Budapest.
The main attraction is the basilica, and its proximity to Budapest makes it a popular destination for both Hungarians and foreign tourists.
Esztergom - Budapest
We are just 70 kilometers away from reaching the magical city of Budapest. We will take advantage of this last stretch to fully enjoy the Danube, stopping for lunch at one of the riverside bars that serve fried fish before entering the capital.
The ride to the city center is quick, and you can feel the excitement to take a photo in front of the Parliament building.
We will arrive at the hotel, where we will finally leave our bikes behind, and spend the afternoon walking and discovering the wonderful capital of Hungary.
Budapest - Airport
In the morning, after the buffet breakfast, we will have a transfer schedule to the airport for those who wish to use it.
Thanking everyone for the experiences we’ve shared, we will conclude our services.

GALLERY OF MEMORIES
The Eastern Europe by Bike experience includes accommodation in double rooms with private bathrooms, where you will share a room each night with one person from the group (maximum of two people per room).
If you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or with friends, you can choose who you want to stay with. If you’re traveling alone, we will pair you with someone of the same gender who will be your roommate for the entire trip.
Remember that you will only share with one person from the group. If you prefer a single room, we can discuss the extra cost involved.
The support vehicle is reserved exclusively for our bike travelers. Therefore, it is not possible to bring a companion who is not participating in the experience.
You can offer your companion the option to join the experience, and they will have access to our support vehicle if they need to rest or skip a section. We will ensure they are accompanied and guided, allowing you to enjoy at your own pace.
Remember that this option is available in our Premium travel version (customized, with pricing upon request). If you would like to discuss a Premium Camino, please write to us at info@zococamino.com.
To participate in this route and achieve your goal of cycling 400 km, it’s essential to be in good physical shape. You should be comfortable riding a bike, especially with the saddle, and familiar with your suitable speed to avoid falls.
You don’t need to be an advanced cyclist; a minimum level of preparation is sufficient. It’s advisable to start training one or two months before your trip to prevent fatigue or muscle soreness during the experience.
If you have any doubts about your fitness and training level, we recommend using an electric bike. You can keep the pedal assistance off when you want to exercise and turn it on during more challenging moments.
The most crucial preparation is mental. Be aware that you will be stepping outside your comfort zone and engaging with a different culture while sharing experiences with people from various parts of the world.
We will wake up early each day and cover an average of 50 km. Meal times will differ from what you’re used to, and we will spend most of our time in rural environments along the Danube. Be prepared for the possibility of rain, cold weather, or cycling on wet terrain. But nothing a daring spirit can’t handle!
Each traveler may bring one suitcase or backpack weighing a maximum of 23 kg to the experience, which will be transported from hotel to hotel. (If you bring more luggage with you to Spain, you must leave it in storage in Madrid.)
Avoid bringing unnecessary luggage for the Camino. You do not need: jewelry, books, fancy clothes or shoes, hair straighteners or dryers, towels, sleeping bags, umbrellas, or wallets.
Suggested Packing List:
- 3 cycling jerseys and 3 cycling shorts.
- 1 pair of bike gloves.
- Arm and leg warmers for descending hills.
- 1 pair of adventure pants, preferably convertible.
- 2 t-shirts and athletic pants for resting and walking.
- Swimsuit for the spa.
- 1 lightweight long-sleeve shirt.
- 1 sweater or long-sleeve sweatshirt (also in summer).
- 2 pairs of sports shoes, one for biking and one for walking. It is important that they are not new.
- Shower shoes (flip-flops).

By being part of the ZocoCamino family, you can rent the bike of your choice at the best price and without needing to leave a deposit for potential damages. The bike rental is done when you are in Spain and directly with our supplier.

You can travel with your group privately as long as there are 12 or more people. In this case, you will also enjoy a special discount of 10% on the trip cost.
If your group is smaller, we will accept more travelers until we reach the 12 spots.
The group must fit our available dates for the Eastern Europe by Bike experience.
If you wish to have the experience on your chosen dates or a completely private trip for a couple or with a group of less than 12 people, you can opt to quote a Premium Bike Path.
The VIP Camino, whether by bike or on foot, is a pre-designed experience that takes place in a group on selected dates. The activities and route are carried out without any modifications. All services are included, so pilgrims don’t have to worry about anything once they are with us. We provide daily picnic setups and include all meals, making it a VIP service.
The Eastern Europe by Bike experience is not a VIP trip; it only includes half board, meaning breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Therefore, it is not an all-inclusive trip. We also do not set up catering like we do on the Camino de Santiago. In this experience, all meals are at restaurants, and a small snack is provided for the route.
Our Premium trips are the option we offer for you to design a tailored journey with us. If you want to come privately to one of our experiences, as a couple or with your own group, you can add or remove stages, increase or decrease the number of days, include other activities, etc. Premium trips are priced upon request, as the cost varies depending on the dates, number of days, stages, activities, and number of people included.**
**If you wish to plan a Premium Camino with us, you can contact us at info@zococamino.com.
The Eastern Europe by bike experience only takes place during the summer.
The months of June to August have pleasant weather and much less heat than in the southern part of Europe. We might even experience some cold or drizzly days. But above all, during the summer, we enjoy very pleasant weather that even allows us to take swims in the Danube during our route.
Contact us, and a member of our team will address your concerns and questions, ensuring that you have the best experience possible.
